In vehicular accidents, a collision where the front of one vehicle strikes the side of another is commonly referred to as a side-impact crash. This occurs when one vehicle’s front end impacts the side of another, forming a “T” shape. For instance, this might happen when a vehicle runs a red light and collides with another crossing perpendicularly through the intersection.
